This recipe was seriously so delicious. It is definitely a little higher in fat, so won't freeze-dry quite as long, but is still totally worth it. Also, it is fantastic fresh, and definitely hit the spot. Easy to make and a crowd-pleaser.

This soup is so easy to whip up. I love how many cans it uses from my food storage and that I don't need any fresh ingredients on hand to make it. There is something so satisfying about using 11 cans from my food storage for one meal. Silly I know, but I really do enjoy it. It is always a crowd-pleaser too and my kids really enjoy it. I haven't freeze-dried it yet, but it should do really well as it is relatively low fat and all the ingredients freeze-dry separately well.

Sorry for the slightly blurry before picture, but the first picture is before freeze-drying, the slightly lighter color on the tray is after. As you can see, it maintained shape like usual. This was fantastic freeze-dried you guys. 10/10 I would do it again. They are crispy and creamy and the nuts give it a good crunch after it turns creamy. Definitely a success. I'm sure it won't store long term, but I don't need it to. And it should last at least 3-6 months I would think if it can last that long in your house.

To spread the three layers of the dessert, I used an icing tool from my cake decorating kit, like this one. It made it easy to make all the layers smooth.
